He graduated in History and Critique of North American Cinema at the University of Torino and Paris VIII, also graduating at the Ecole Internationale de Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. In 2008 he started working in French television, as a writer and director for its comedy series on OCS channels broadcast until 2012. Then he continued as author, reporter, artistic coordinator, segment producer in entertainment department for moreover than 25 programs and all French networks. He also works as an actor for cinema and theater in France. Between 2013 and 2014 he directed two short-films. \u00ab My Movie like Kiss \u00bb was awarded the Achille Valdata at the Torino Film Festival. In 2019 his documentary \u00ab Fuori Tutto \u00bb (Rossofuoco Films, Agat Films, France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions) won the award for Best Italian Documentary at the Torino Film Festival. His film \u00ab La derni\u00e8re s\u00e9ance (The Last Chapter) \u00bb had its world premiere at the last Venice International Film Critics\u2019 Week, winning the Queer Lion Award. The film has been selected at IDFA, Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, and keeps touring in other international festivals. It\u2019s been boradcast on SKY ITALIA network CIELO. His new film \u00ab Il Posto (A Steady Job) \u00bb (Altara Films, Bocalupo Films & ARTE \/ NDR), co-directed with Mattia Colombo premiered in Vision du R\u00e9el and Hot Docs. His Latest film \u00ab\u00a0Fashion Babylon\u00a0\u00bb (Bellota Films & France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions) starring Violet Chachki, Casey Spooner and Michelle Elie, has premiered ad CPH:DOX and Hot Docs and just started a world festival tour. He directed, for France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions, the musical documentary on the singer Barbara Pravi, representative of the Eurovision Contest 2020. Gianluca is also a fashion-film and docu-fashion director. His video publications have appeared in KALTBLUT, ODDA, NUMERO BERLIN, L\u2019OFFICIEL USA etc. And his video installations have been shown at the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt and at the Mannerheim Gallery in Paris. He is also involved in pedagogical and educational activities (history of cinema, screenwriting and directing) in high schools, colleges and universities (T\u00e9l\u00e9com Paris).<\/p>\n
